Big Ten Recruiting College Football Questions asked
Resolved Question: What does Northwestern look for in a QB?
What kind of offense does Northwestern run? Is it a spread based on the pass or the run. This year they had a pass first BJ in CJ Bacher but they will start the very mobile Mike Kafka. So what kind of skills do I need to attract the interest of a program like Northwestern? I live near the school and I really want to play QB there but I have been struggling to pick up a read on what Northwestern looks for in their QBs besides the obvious traits: accuracy, mobility, vision etc. My high school runs an option, run first offense but I am going to their recruit camp this summer. When I get there I really want the coaches to say "this guy was made for us". This is a complex question with a lot of specifics so I need some detail driven football minds who knows about college, better yet Northwestern/Big Ten, football. moreResolved Question: Should the BCS College Football system be removed/who do you like next year to take it?
The team I root for, The Golden Gophers, are getting a new stadium--better recruits. The BCS helps the BIg Ten, how do you all feel about this? moreResolved Question: Do you think Big Tens Comm. Jim Delany's comments about SEC players being thugs and unfit for Big Ten racist?
Jim Delany comm. for the Big Ten sent an open letter this past week which has surfaced accusing the SEC of recruiting players that were "not" of Big Ten standard. In a stunning "open letter to fans," the most powerful person in college athletics attacked SEC football players, particularly those with "speed" in a statement loaded with social stereotypes. For Miles, the assertion that his fast players are, by Big Ten standards, not academic or social fits (essentially dumb thugs) is as absurd as it is insulting. He's a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he played under icon Bo Schembechler and later spent 10 seasons as an assistant. Now he is in his third year at LSU, giving him perspective. Jim Delanys comments have crossed the lines of college football and into attacks on college kids at a personal level. Do you think this man should still hold the most powerful position in college football. And do you see the racisim that is weaved into this statement? moreResolved Question: Could Michigan's Humiliating loses hurt the Prestige of the Big-Ten?
Now that Big-Blow has proven to everyone that they SUCK and don't belong in College Football, and with their long history of cheating in recruiting.....will this hurt the rest of the Big-Ten Schools and the Prestige on the Big-Ten? Maybe banning them from the Big-Ten competion....would this help the honest Schools that play by the rules? moreResolved Question: Do you find it more sad that Michigan and Notre Dame are both 0-2 or that one will have to win this week?
I really would love for this game to end up in a loss for both teams. Really, I don't think either one should be taking the field right now. Both of them are destroying the tradition and recruiting appeal of both schools. The Big Ten is a joke this year and Michigan lloks like the biggest clown of the bunch. My next question may have to be on the possibility of Illinois winning the Big Ten. They may have the best athlete in the conference as QB! Meanwhile Michigan sucks! Ohio State struggled with Akron and Wisconsin should have lost to UNLV. These were supposed to be big name teams in a big name conference! Has the Big Ten lost it's right to call itself a powerhouse conference? It cannot even be argued that the Big Ten is the top conference at this point and please DON'T EVEN compare it to any other big time conference in college football. Michigan is also a great reason why preseason rankings should be done away with! moreResolved Question: Do you think that being a black college athlete is really just a new form of slavery ?
We all know that the majority of athletes in college today playing in the "BIG 2"(football, basketball) are black. Because universities want winning teams that will bring in TV $'s they will recruit blacks to play for the White run schools. And since it has been stated that the NCAA has not graduated a SINGLE black athlete in the past ten years (meaning that once the black athlete's sport is over the school is no longer concerned with whether or not the black athlete graduates: by helping the athlete stay academically eligible) dosen't this really say that all the universities care about is the black student's physical abilities just as White slave owners once only cared for the physical ability of a black slave? And are the blacks to unintelligent to realize this or are they just glad to go to get a chance to play Pro sports after they get through playing for the college and then become a money making slave for the White owned pro teams and the White owned and run TV networks? moreTop Big Ten Recruiting College Football Links
