I'm getting out of DEP so i wrote this letter: Sir/Ma'am: In accordance with Department of Defense (DOD) Directive 1332.14, request that I be discharged from the Delayed Enlistment Program (DEP), of the United States Marine Corps. The reason for my request is that I have not graduated high school and I have been offered a civilian job opportunity. I wish to pursue this opportunity, and no longer desire to be a member of the United States Marine Corps. My recruiter is SSgt _______. I enlisted in the DEP on 14 August 2008 at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) in Los Angeles. I am scheduled to report for active duty on 20 January 2009. I request prompt consideration of my discharge request, and notification in writing at the address above. In the event this request is not processed by my scheduled date to report for active duty, request extension of my delay status until the separation request has been processed. Sincerely, __________ this letter is for the recruiting commander of the station. my question is, is this enough or will i have to go in and sign stuff or something? in other words, can i just send this and not go there or see them again or will i still have to go into the office for something? i normally would go in but they lied to me and told be that they don't take GEDs when they do and made me take college classes and i hate school. anyways i failed on of my classes on purpose when i found out and now i don't want anything to do with them. i realized how much bullshit they told me just to get me to sign that DEP contract. all they care about is the numbers.this is NOT a repost!!! in my last question i asked if the letter was good. here i'm asking if i can get out with just the letter. i dont know why i even added the letter here. these are two completely different questions moreOpen Question: is this a good DEP discharge letter?
I'm getting out of DEP and i was just wondering if this letter would do or should i change something. its for the Recruiting Commander. (i'd like to possibly create a game after my main career) ?
i was thinking something based on stealth, with wide-open maps and a sandbox style, where you can do whatever you want , like change your clothing (ghilie suit, black tactical clothes, etc) , buy and upgrade weapons (silencers, scopes, grenade launchers, barrels, bipods, foregrips, etc), kill random people, can drive any vehicle on the game, etc. I was thinking that maybe the theme would be you would do tasks, like carry out assassinations, retrieve objects, blow stuff up (all buildings and objects are destructible), and more. You get money for the jobs, with which you can spend on anything that costs money. However, if you develop a big enough profile (leaving enough evidence around assassination scenes, or being caught out in the open), the police will begin to come after you when they see you, or will conduct searches for you. It's kind of like the Grand Theft Auto series, but with a stealthy, military-type theme. Another idea is that you can recruit people, and create your own sort of squad or whatever. You will assign these people to specific jobs, like a publicist or whatever they're called, and that will get you more jobs. Or you can hire them to come out with you into the field, and be your lookout or anything, and you can order them around. So I guess the game is a mix between... Grand Theft Auto, Hitman, Splinter Cell (because of the stealth theme of the game), and Just Cause (because of the huge map, with the sandbox theme). give me some more ideas, and tell me if you like the idea. i've got it all thought out. moreResolved Question: Public school jobs in Korea - how do you apply?
When applying to a public school job in Seoul, do you have to use a recruiter or can you apply directly to the school board? Is there advantage of one over the other? How do you go about doing this? I don't know whether to trust a recruiter since they get a bigger commission for sending me to a hagwon. My recruiter tells me I can get on a waiting list for March '09 jobs, but that they've stopped recruiting officially until Sept. I currently do in-house recruitment so I recruit solely for the company that I work for. I love recruitment but I want a more office based recruitment role as my role sees me away from home 4 days a week. I have looked at many recruitment consultancy roles and they seem very sales orientated. Has anyone got any experience of these roles and how hard are they? I dont really enjoy sales I enjoy solely recruiting, are there any recruitment roles like that? moreResolved Question: What do you want different in NCAA football 2010?
ncaa 2009 had MANY problems and things we didnt like... 1. mascot game...seriously... who plays that... its boring and not even fun. Its the same thing as a quick game or whatever except flips.. i dont understand it.. and mini games are alright for just something fun to do but dont keep them ncaa used to be a serious hardcore game. Insted of tug of war, put back in oklahoma or option attack like they did in previous. 2. this one is just an obvious one.. CREATE A TEAM!!!!!!! every single highschool kid makes there own highschool and puts themselfs/others in. its just whats fun about ncaa.. well.. used to be fun. and obiouvsly put in jersey editor and such and stadium editor (they left out a whole 4000-5000 seats in this game for texas and a whole upperdeck). 3. create plays. thats so easy to do and so much fun for dynsatys they dont even need to be that complicated just simple enough to make people run to a spot or block a certain way ( including linemen) 4. gameplay game play gameplay... the offencive linemen sit there and like dont move there feet and slide to wehre people come, fall down and you have to get the ball out before that 250 pound d end coming at you.. make it realalisc. at football games its so more intence, recivers doing head jukes, qb's dodging tackles (WHAT HAPPENED TO TAHT!?) the crowd chanting against the team, teams swining towels, and traditons happening... why dont they have the rough necks for oklahoma? and thats not what the cannon at texas looks like, and wheres the real bevo, not that dumb mascot.. the crowd is not all jumping and clapping in sync with each other.. and they all dont wear the same exact shirts..... seriously ea? like wow... 5. make the dynasty more indepth. make it so you recruit other coachs and have to offer them pay and when your looking for a new job after a season put pay in there too.. like why would i want to go to vanderbilt when my choices are flordia, vandy and mizzou? they probably would pay moreee... 6. please.. put..the...fcs...teams....in... its rediculous. its annoying cause like appaliachine state... THEY ARE GOOD!!! and i have to play fcs midwest insted!? big difference... 7.team entrancs... god... make it look good! presintaion is everything... when those longhorns enter that stadium.. its so loud before they run out the tunnel.. and once that first play steps a foot on the field IT GOES CRAZY they run out of the smokey tunnel with the band playing running with a longhorn flag and an american flag.. they dont run from the corner of the stadium with the cheerleaders while kirk herbetreit lethargicly says here comes the horns.. 8. ...which bring me to my next point... ESPN NOT EA..im pretty damn sure kirk herbstriet and lee corso are from espn not ea stuidos... DO A GAMEDAY OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!! GIVE A RUN DOWN OF THAT DAYS GAMES AND PREDICTIONS!!! 9.and my final thing which i think everyone can agree on.. during the real life season update the players and the teams ranks like in madden. it would be so much better cause right now e have wisonson number like 9 or 11... and lsu number lile 6 or something.. is rediculous we cant play with the good teams taht we know about cause they all suck like texas number 10? tech number like 13? no its georgia number 1... UPDATE IT BE MORE LIKE MADDEN NCAA THATS ALL WE ASK IF YOU CAN DO IT FOR MADDEN YOU CAN DO IT FOR NCAA 2010 moreOpen Question: If an organization publishes automatic pilot software for aircraft, how would it avoid recruiting a?
"whack job" to their computer programming team ? (A "whack job" would be likely to program the system so when a pilot tries to land a plane a message comes up "the plane has already landed, try some other option")To Future Pilot. Thanks. I seem to read about AirBus overriding the pilot's commands. I was wondering if a "whack job" had programmed the AirBus program. moreOpen Question: My mom is being untreated unfairly in being hired?
Okay, here's the deal. My mother used to work in Duane Reade and is currently working in Rite Aid. She has at least six years of being a cashier which should be fine enough for her to become a bank teller. I have been helping my mother, who is a foreigner by the way, for the past 2 years to get a bank teller job but no idiot employer ever called. Every time I went to a local branch, the managers always tell me to apply online with my mother's resume submitted. I am getting sick of this. I just don't know. We live in NYC and it is becoming frustrating finding a teller job. Maybe the employers are just unfair people or human resource just don't care at all. I really need some help. This is unfair to my mother. She already has the qualifications and they are not giving her a fair chance. I am not going to hear the same thing that there are other people better qualified. There are too many job openings in the bank positions and all the best people are working for the best banks, not the worst. I have been applying to the same number banks in NYC and in different boroughs and where there are open positions online and no one has even called since. I must have applied to at least 10 different banks over the past two years and still have no luck. I took some of those online assessment tests and maybe I didn't past any of them and when I apply for jobs that didn't require tests, they still haven't called. I am getting sick of those damn assessment tests. I have been applying for two damn years and no idiot employer has ever called. My mother is already 44 years old and I want her to get a better job. She can't take it anymore of standing 8 hours a day in her store and not sitting. Also, those job fairs I went with my mom to didn't hire her on the spot. No signups or anything to get hired. They just said the same thing which is apply online and they will call her. I know everyone went through this but you guys eventually got jobs and I can't take it doing it alone anymore. Those guys, please tell me what I can do strengthen her chances of getting a teller job. My mom's friends don't have teller jobs, so they are no help. So please anyone who has went through the same situation as my mom and eventually got the jobs they want, tell me what I should do to get these bank employers to contact her and without taking those assessment tests? Please, is there any way for my mom to get a bank employer to give her a fair evaluation in getting a job? I really want her to getting a better job. Is there supposed to be an agency to help my mom getting employed or maybe some special recruiting events happening? Please, anyone, tell me how I can get my mom to get those bank teller jobs? The last thing I want for my mother to have before her retirement is to have a legacy as a cashier and not becoming a teller because of unfair employers. moreVoting Question: I got made redundant from work and its gone from bad to worst. help?

So basically I was in the D.E.P program in the USAF for 6 months waiting for my job to open up. I did everything right while I was in it, worked out with the recruiter every week for his P.T's and called in every Monday like i was supposed too. About 5 days before I was supposed to leave for basic training, my recruited "who I thought was my Friend" showed me my finial contract papers. Nowhere in it did it list my Job at all, even my father looked the whole thing over. My recruiter informed me after i read it over that my job was "No longer guaranteed." I told him that I would not follow through with my 6 year contract unless it was on paper, Short and simple he told me he could do nothing. I gave him the same response he gave me, a Short and simple I'm not going. After my father and I left his office I got a call from his saying I had 1 more chance to sign the papers or i WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO JOIN the Air Force for the rest of my life... My question to someone who knows for sure 100% is this TRUE?? I'm currently a Sophomore in college and still would like to join the Air Force but on my terms as an Officer now when i graduate in 2010. Was he just trying to scare me because I'm a number off his quota? I feel like I did nothing wrong because they didn't follow through what they promised me. Sorry if that was to long. moreResolved Question: 17 and joining the Army?
I went to the Recruiting office today and spoke with them. Just waiting to get my HS diploma this May. ANY TIPSS? i have no idea how i should get started and which kind of job i should do because theres a lot to choose from... I want to become a Police officer later on though. Couple questions: Can i only do two years? Where will i expect to be? How much is the pay? moreResolved Question: Another Marine Corps Infantry or MP Question?
Hey. January 2nd I will be sworn into the Marine Corps and April I should be shipped off to recruit training. The MOS my recruiters and I have had in mind is MP and I did score high enough to lock the job. Lately I have been battling the decision to change my MOS to Infantry. My fears as an MP or being stuck at a base 12 hours a day and bored out of my mind. My appeal to be a grunt is after two years in the Corps (if I make it) I want to try out for recon. I feel that skills as an Infantry Personal would give me more transferable skills in order to achieve my dreams. My worries of being a Infantry man is everyone including my father (ex - marine) keeps on telling me that its a stupid decision and I will be nothing but a grunt. I have no clue about the workings of the Marine Corps but are the front line personal really that lacking of respect? I also feel like I would enjoy the pace and lifestyle of the Infantry. But I could be all wrong and have the wrong idea of the MP field that's why I came here. Next time I see my recruiter I will consult him. moreResolved Question: Modern Feminists, do history departments recruit misogynists in academia...?
I would think that if history is incorrectly taught as it pertains to women, then the right approach would be to address this with preexisting departments that apparently aren't doing the job they're supposed to, e.g. preeminent historians, sociologists, anthropologists, biologists, etc. I think we can all agree that ladies have existed prior to 1900 AD. If the root of the problem with the way "women's matters" are taught stems from academic departments not providing accurate information, wouldn't it make more sense to solve such problems at the root rather than opening Women's Studies departments in academia which cost Universities huge sums of money which get trickled down to tuition costs? Wouldn't it make more sense to put out a preexisting fire before building a new home, so to speak? (Unless of course, modern Feminism has a vested interest in teaching history in a way that's based on non-verifiable data, e.g. the elusive patriarchy). moreResolved Question: How can I start a small hospital in Chennai, India?
I have a desire to start a small hospital in one of the slums of Chennai. I have invested some money and have already built up the place. I need help. I also need to recruit doctors and nurses and other staff. Can somebody advise / help? moreResolved Question: medical test includes physical also?

i am a basketball player that has only been playing for 2 years. i am only 16 and 5'9 185 pds, caucasian. the problem is that i currently reside in a job corps to pursue a career in culinary arts. We have a leage here that we travel to play other job corps across the region. ( Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Kansas.) I am the youngest on the team by a year and a third string PG. We only have 2 caucasians on the team out of 22 people. But anyways i shoot 40% a game and average only 3.0 points a game. Every shot i have taken has been a three pointer. i get 13 minutes of playing time on a very talented team that is undefeated. The average age on the team is between 19-20. The reality of software development in a huge company like Microsoft (it employs more than 48,000 people) is that a substantial portion of your work involves days of boredom punctuated by hours of tedium. You basically spend your time in an isolated office writing code and sitting in meetings during which you participate in looking for and evaluating hundreds of bugs and potential bugs. Yet Microsoft has no problem in finding and retaining software programmers. Their programmers work horrendously long hours and obsess on the goal of shipping product. From the day new employees begin work at Microsoft; they know they are special and that their employer is special. New hires all have one thing in common—they are smart. The company prides itself on putting all recruits through a grueling “interview loop,” during which they confront a barrage of brain-teasers by future colleagues to see how well they think. Only the best and the brightest survive to become employees. The company does this because Microsofties truly believe that their company is special. For instance, it has a high tolerance for nonconformity. Would you believe that one software tester comes to work every day dressed in extravagant Victorian outfits? But the underlying theme that unites Microsofties is the belief that the firm has a manifest destiny to change the world. The least consequential decision by a programmer can have an outsized importance when it can affect a new release that might be used by 50 million people. Microsoft employees are famous for putting in long hours. One program manager said, “In my first five years, I was the Microsoft stereotype. I lived on caffeine and vending-machine hamburgers and free beer and 20-hour workdays. . . . I had no life. . . . I considered everything outside the building as a necessary evil.” More recently, things have changed. There are still a number of people, who put in 80-hour weeks, but 60- and 70-hour weeks are more typical and some even are doing their jobs in only 40 hours. No discussion of employee life at Microsoft would be complete without mentioning the company’s lucrative stock option program. Microsoft created more millionaire employees, faster, than any company in American history—more than 10,000 by the late-1990s. While the company is certainly more than a place to get rich, executives still realize that money matters. One former manager claims that the human resources’ department actually kept a running chart of employee satisfaction versus the company’s stock price. “When the stock was up, human resources could turn off the ventilation and everybody would say they were happy. When the stock was down, we could give people massages and they would tell us that the massages were too hard.” In the go-go 1990s, when Microsoft stock was doubling every few months and yearly stock splits were predictable, employees not only got to participate in Microsoft’s manifest destiny, but they could get rich in the process. By the spring of 2002, with the world in a recession, stock prices down, and the growth for Microsoft products slowing, it was not so clear what was driving its employees to continue the company’s dominance of the software industry. Questions: 1. If you were a programmer, would you want to work at Microsoft? Why or why not? 2. How many activities in this case can you tie into specific motivation theories? List the activities, the motivation theories, and how they apply. 3. What will be some important implications for management to motivate employees, according to Masllow’s theory? Also give some general suggestions to improve the motivation level of employees. 4. Other than stock option program as mentioned in case what can be the other opportunities for compensating employees. moreResolved Question: What do you make of this? ?
The following is adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat: Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult. It is a complete system. Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components. Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called 'religious rights.' When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to 'the reasonable' Muslim demands for their 'religious rights,' they also get the other components under the table. Here's how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book (2007)). As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness: United States -- Muslim 1.0% Australia -- Muslim 1.5% Canada -- Muslim 1.9% China -- Muslim 1%-2% Italy -- Muslim 1.5% Norway -- Muslim 1.8% At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs: Denmark -- Muslim 2% Germany -- Muslim 3.7% United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7% Spain -- Muslim 4% Thailand -- Muslim 4.6% From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply. ( United States ). France -- Muslim 8% Philippines -- Muslim 5% Sweden -- Muslim 5% Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3% The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5% Trinidad &Tobago -- Muslim 5.8% At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world. My husband was TOLD (not by his choice) that he was going to be on recruiting duty for 3 years. The hours are long, and the beauracratic BS is sometimes bordering on insanity. But I try to be okay with it because at least he's coming home every night and can't be sent to Iraq or Afghanistan. Here's my problem, though. He's getting harder and harder to get in touch with - he only answers his phone maybe one out of every three times I call him. He's suddenly staying at work even later than usual (which may be because he has a new boss who is pretty strict about making your needed appointments before going home). He goes out to get a haircut and comes home three hours later. He seems to get irritated easily. He not only doesn't help around the house, but actually makes more of a mess so it's more work for ME to do (and I have a full time job and two kids to take care of, so it's not like I have tons of free time). And every time he does show a little affection, it seems forced and fake. He's been battling with depression since he returned from Iraq, so maybe that's part of the problem. But I can't help thinking he's hiding something from me. Should I start considering the possibility that he's cheating, or am I overreacting?Michael T - The military has counseling, along with many other helpful services. Problem is, being a recruiter, we are no longer near a base where those things are available.Lions - It's not like I call him all the time. I was diagnosed Obessive Compulsive Disorder and depression over ten years ago, and been switched between different antidepressants that began to lose effectiveness on me. So, right now, the only thing I take is 10mg Lexapro but want off of it. I'm also rewinding back to when I started consuming caffeine and to come to think of it, that was over ten years ago, around the same time I got diagnosed with OCD--so, I'm having an apithany here and that is if I completely give up caffeine, will my anxiety be greatly improved to the point that I no longer need medication?? It's cause I heard so many instances that caffeine consumption can aggrevate and worsen anxiety disorders and it's not recommended for people with anxiety disorders and IBS. I even heard switching to decaf isn't very effective cause it can contain up to half the amount of caffeine that a full regular cup of coffee has. I consume one cup of regular coffee everyday. I am determined to completely cut caffeine out of my diet for my New Years Resolution 2009 and also get back up to par with my exercise routine. I wonder if giving up caffeine will improve my personality? You see, the following life situations in the past six months have made my anxiety worse and I want to give up caffeine for these reasons: --I graduated college last May in graphic design--and I've been freaking out with the job search. The job I have now is only seasonal, temporary, as an assistant manager that does airbrush work at Six Flags, so I'm out of work in the winter. If the job market keeps failing me, I'm going back to work there next year. For the past three months I've done nothing but put out resumes and samples along with taking an internship-like class that starts in mid January. I've had a few interviews, but no offers, even though I followed up--and no, I didn't screw up in the interviews, I acted very appropriate and smiled. When I give up caffeine, I'll be more calm about this failure going with the flow and I'll attract a better job a lot quicker. --In an earlier post, I explained how I was in the Amway/Quixtar business, and was getting discouraged, anxious as an IBO. The business wasn't right for me, I thinks it's a cult, where the more you pressure and recruit people to sell, the more money you'll make; which is bullsh*t practices--my upline and I weren't getting along. I told him that I couldn't afford to keep investing in products, driving around selling, and going to hotel meetings when I'm busy looking for a better job and building a graphic design business with my friend. It's tough since I lack relevant design experience; I only have one internship, most graphic jobs today require 3-5 years of agency experience. My upline told me that I haven't found a better job yet because of my personality (I worry alot) and that I'm not grown up yet since I still live at home, plus he told I had to be aggressive and harass employers to get my dream job. I told him that there's a difference between being enthusiastic and annoying in that situation, and then he politely said that I was being a douchbag, a pussy--so for the sake of my future, I must give up caffeine to improve my personality. --My worsened anxiety is negatively affecting the relationship with my boyfriend. He tends to worry because of my self defeating behavior. Cutting out the caffeine can improve this. Giving up caffeine--really worth it? I appreciate anyone's input on this. Sorry for such a long post. Merry Christmas everyone! ;) moreResolved Question: geography. major help please?

Okay. I need someone's help..like REAL bad. My essay is HORRIBLY structured. and I need a lot of help. please.. 20 Years after “The War to End All Wars” has ended, (Which was hardly the case), World War II Emerged. From 1939 – 1945, Canada had contributed to the successful outcome of the war, from Canada’s Home Front, to the major battles of Italian Champaign, Dieppe and Day of Deliverance. Canada has sacrificed thousands, and helped millions, to take on Germany and Adolf Hitler, thus ending the tragic World War II. Canada had truly participated fully in the winning outcome of World War II. Not only the government policies of Canada had taken a share of the won, but to the home front as well, the women who took on men’s roles had changed lifestyles, children even taking on responsibilities. We have shown great intelligent by Canada providing us at Training camps for all nations for example, Britain and America in Oshawa Ontario, including Camp X and The British PM Muelle Chamberlain. With the soldiers we have lost in the Battles of Italian Champaign, and D-Day, no nation should ever say that we did not do as much effort as any other nation in World War II. Throughout World War II, women and children has made a Major effort to help with the war going on (The Home Font). Naturally, women had played an important role in the war. In fact Government Policies also had them start on everything. Not only did women support the injured soldiers of ours, and other nations. Women had become nurses, serving behind the front lines, and they had PUSHED, there way to be accepted in the military service. By the end of the war, Canadian women in uniform numbered 50 000, and another 4 500 women were in medical services. They were never sent in front line combat, in fact they did essential work, working as radio operators and guiding back airplanes and ships form battle missions. Some had even become welders, armourers, or worker in armed forces headquarters. Women took over farms, and helped keep farm alive, in business, at the same time making crops and food to contribute the food to the war for armies. Women had taken on men roles, and proving themselves. Without “Women’s Roles” there would not be surviving soldiers from serious injuries. Government policies has asked for women, children, and other elderly that could not go fight in the war to save food, and save anything to save for the war. The community has taken on different numbers of jobs to specify support the war, Canada had become an industrial power. During World War II, the government introduced Victory Bonds, the money going straight to the war economy, these victory bonds were Highly encouraged. Training in secretly is what “Camp X” was for, and learning how to fly and become a pilot, you have to go to the British PM Muelle Chamberlain. Camp X was established Saturday December 6, 1941, training people from different nations in North America. It was built on the shores of Lake Superior to train allied agents in the technique of secret war fair. Camp X was run by British officers, and a Canadian director thus also training women, and men. If fact we had also trained the French Resistance workers in spying, weaponry, and sabotage. Yugoslavia were sent into their homeland, where they destroyed trains, roads, and major things. Camp X was successful, and sad to have saved a large number of lives. Other American, Britain, and Canadians who have not gone to ether Camp X or the war was sent to “British PM Muelle Chamberlain”. British PM Muelle Chamberlain had trained 135, 000 pilots from 40 different allied nations to learn to fly. We had supplied not only our military, but other nations also in the Training Camp. Us supplying 80.64% of the recruits. Australia 11.28% and New Zealand 8.08%. Canada has a perfect environment, and space for this training camp. Without the 2 Training Camps, most soldiers would have been dead. Camp X had save many soldiers from facing a horrific death. The Italian Campaign was Canada’s first major ground participation in the Second World War in Europe and cost 25,264 casualties, 5,900 of them fatal, over its course which, at its highest peak, saw over 76,000 Canadians serving in Italy. Not only was this one of the major battles, Canada had played a role in Day of Deliverance. (D-Day). A year before the D-Day landings in Normandy, there were the Allied invasions Italy. Canada played a major role in the Allies' first breach of Hitler's "Fortress Europe" in 1943 and 1944. Canadian soldiers defeated Hitler’s German Army but had a price to pay. The Italian Campaign, a shocking battle that cost roughly about 6,000 Canadian lives. July 10, 1943 though a bad stormy weather, the biggest invasion in history, had arrive the boot of Italy. As we see in this Canadian Army Newsreel, the Allies reach the shores of Sicily at dawn, and Canadians walk ashore unopposed. Allies had pushed there way into Hitler’s Fortresses. So fourth, a(I don't even have a concluding paragraph :( ...BECAUSE I DON"T KNOW HOW OT WRITE ONE! moreResolved Question: Other than stock option program as mentioned in case what can be the other opportunities for compensating emp?
Other than stock option program as mentioned in case what can be the other opportunities for compensating employees. What Drives Employees at Microsoft? Microsoft created more millionaire employees, faster, than any company in American history—more than 10,000 by the late- 1990s. By the spring of 2002, with the world in a recession, stock prices down, and the growth for Microsoft products slowing, it was not so clear what was driving its employees to continue the company’s dominance of the software industry. moreResolved Question: Is there any laws on recruiting, like when they say you..?

My personal vote is: Yes absolutely. First of all, the criminalization of Marijuana use has hampered the lives of millions of Americans. Drug charges can deter people from getting jobs (great in a failing economy), and from joining the armed forces (even though they need recruits). Many Americans who have an education, pay taxes, hold a job, and support a family are labeled as criminals for using a substance that studies show is about as harmful as the most common legal indulgences i.e; cigarette smoking, drinking, gambling. Secondly, facts show that millions of Americans use marijuana regardless of legal consequences. These users are forced to purchase pot from dealers who might be in connection with gangs or the mafia. Thus, they are indirectly supporting criminal elements. A disturbing news story announced that more deaths take place in Mexico over the drug wars than in Iraq. This makes sense; Mexican drug lords hold a monopoly over the drug market, and will do whatever necessary to keep their American customers buying from them. This problem could easily be remedied by legalization. Local, American growers could satisfy the needs of domestic users, reducing the dependence on criminal supply completely. Furthermore, the establishment of legal, legitimate suppliers would greatly increase the safety and security of drug trade. Dealerships could be required to meet health standards and to enforce age restrictions. New jobs would be produced in the growing and selling of pot, bringing millions of dollars into the American market. Third, legalization would reduce American dependence on prescription drugs, and therefore reduce prescription drug abuse. It is widely known that most common prescription drugs are very harmful to your body and carry many side effects that only increase the intake of more p-drugs. Marijuana has been proven to be an effective remedy for nausea, pain, glaucoma, epilepsy and more, so legalization is in the best interesting of those suffering from such ailments. Increased hunger resulting from smoking would aid those suffering from anorexia, and the resulting drowsiness would be a welcome effect to those suffering from insomnia. As to the ‘Gateway Drug Theory’, which states that marijuana use leads to dangerous drug use, this writer is not convinced. Perhaps it is not Marijuana that leads some to experiment with hard drugs, but its status as a criminalized substance. Common sense would favor the assumption that being labeled as a Criminal would not positively influence one’s self-esteem and moral judgment. Perhaps it is the mentality of “Well, I’m a criminal, so there’s nothing else to lose…” that persuades those to delve into dangerous substance abuse. I say, it is the illegality and societal taboos surrounding marijuana that forces people into a life of fear and reclusion from society. Unfortunately, the taboo around pot says that one cannot be both a pot-smoker, and a legitimate citizen, which creates a very unhealthy self-image for those to choose to smoke. Finally, legalization would relax longstanding tensions in American society. Parents would no longer have to treat their pot-smoking sons and daughters like criminals. Friendships and relationships would no longer be destroyed because of the hardships of dealing with someone who society has deemed a law-breaker. The marijuana user would no longer be intimidated when trying to get a job, or serve their country. Legalization would reduce the culture of fear in America by giving citizens one less thing to be afraid of, ashamed of, and dishonest about. To those who might take up the argument of “Well, smokers are criminals, and deserve to be arrested.” I ask to remember that illegality is not a universal, indefinite status. Racism, condoned 50 years ago, is now completely illegal. Alcohol was banned until only 70 years ago in the United States, and now is accepted legally and culturally. I respect your opinions nonetheless. moreVoting Question: Hotel Recruitment Agencies for Canada and other International Countries?
I am a Hotel Management graduate currently working in Bahrain. i am looking for some oppertunity abroad especially in Canada. Is there any recruiting agencies in bahrain who assist in finding jobs in canada? moreResolved Question: Has anyone seen evidence of the Glass Escalator phenomena in their profession/job?
I sure have: “…often the pressures keeping men out of certain specialties were more subtle than this. Some men described being "tracked" into practice areas within their professions which were con- sidered more legitimate for men. For example, one Texas man described how he was pushed into ad- ministration and planning in social work, even though "I'm not interested in writing policy; I'm much more interested in research and clinical stuff." A nurse who is interested in pursuing grad- uate study in family and child health in Boston said he was dissuaded from entering the program specialty in favor of a concentration in "adult nursing." A kindergarten teacher described the difficulty of finding a job in his specialty after graduation: "I was recruited immediately to start getting into a track to become an administrator. And it was men who recruited me. It was men that ran the system at that time, especially in Los Angeles. This tracking may bar men from the most female-identified specialties within these profes- sions. But men are effectively being "kicked up- stairs" in the process. Those specialties considered more legitimate practice areas for men also tend to be the most prestigious, better paying ones. The effect of this "tracking" is the opposite of that experienced by women in male-dominated occupations. Researchers have reported that many women encounter a "glass ceiling" in their efforts to scale organizational and professional hierar- chies. That is, they are constrained by invisible barriers to promotion in their careers, caused mainly by sexist attitudes of men in the highest seem to encounter a "glass escalator." Often, de- spite their intentions, they face invisible pressures to move up in their professions. As if on a mov- ing escalator, they must work to stay in place.” http://jan.ucc.nau.edu/hdh9/e-reserves/Williams_-_The_glass_escalator_PDF-1.pdf 'The Glass Escalator: Hidden Advantages for Men in the "Female" Professions ' moreTop Job Recruiting Links
